How do I perform a screen grab?
A screen grab or screen shot, saves a 'snapshot' web-page as an image. With it, you can save anything that you can see in a browser.
When you contact us with a problem requiring technical support it may sometimes be useful if you are able to provide us with a ScreenGrab of the screen you see when the problem occurs.
To carry out a screen grab;
- As PC user: simply press 'Alt and Print Screen' at the same time. This will copy the screen image to your clipboard. Then open up Word or Paint and paste the image in. You can then save the document and send it in to us as an attachment.
- As Mac user: hold down the Apple, Shift and 3 button at the same time. This captures the entire screen and saves it as a file. To copy the screen to clipboard hold the Apple button, Shift, Control and 3 at the same time.
- As Android Mobile user: hold down the Volume down / or Home and Power button at the same time, which will save an image of your current screen to your mobile files.
- As Apple Mobile / Tablet user: Press and hold the sleep/wake button on the top or side of your device, and immediately press and release the home button. This will put the screenshot in your Photos folder / app.
